Take a page from BATA graduates’ book and prepare to start the EMT Academy by focusing on the foundational elements that the EMT class builds on. Brought to you by popular request, this course is designed to build up students’ vocabulary and comfortability in the 10 most important body systems: Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Neurologic, Gastrointestinal, Urologic, Endocrine, Musculoskeletal, Integumentary, and Reproductive. Students who earn a certificate in this class will have a greater understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body and will be able to better understand the material taught in the EMT class.

Anatomy and physiology are two of the most important and fundamental areas of study in the EMT Course. Anatomy refers to the internal and external structures of the body and their physical relationships, whereas physiology refers to the study of the functions of those structures. Much of the EMT course studies pathophysiology, the disordered physiological processes associated with disease or injury. In order to understand how to treat a problem in the body, it is essential to understand how the process ‘should’ go. 

If you do not have familiarities with these two subjects, BATA highly encourages you to take this course prior to the start date of your EMT Academy.

Through 8 hours of training, BATA will prepare the student to be successful in the EMT Academy as well as the EMT field.
